This week, I delivered 2nd Spread Love donation to CAIR-WA (Counsel on American-Islamic Relations). CAIR's mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims and build coalitions that promote justice & mutual understanding.

As noted in the image, they handle approximately 350 civil rights cases annually the cost, on average $600/case and rely on the help of approximately 40 local legal professionals volunteer hours to handle each case thoroughly. CAIR's executive director, Arsalan Bukari emphasized that many cases have great impact beyond the individual representation. The outcomes of the cases have helped establish equity and inclusion policy in our city. The work CAIR is doing locally and nationally is essential and they are grateful for the support from the Spread Love campaign.

This Spread Love donations pushes the total campaign given over the $40k mark. 6 short months ago this figure would've seemed unfathomable but now I dream of a much larger figure.
